For schools
Information for your IT team
This page sets out what your IT support needs to know so the Professional Boundaries course works on the school network, including the domains to allow through N4L or other filtering. You are welcome to forward it to them.
Domains to allow through your web filter
If the course will not load, or teachers cannot sign in on the school network, web filtering is the most likely cause. Allowing the domains below through your filter should resolve it. On N4L-managed networks you can do this in the filtering dashboard.
| Domain | What it is for |
|---|---|
*.supabase.co | Sign-in and course data (Supabase). We can supply the exact project hostname on request. |
professionalboundaries.co.nz | The course website itself, hosted on Vercel. Older links to professional-insights.vercel.app forward here. |
Making sure emails arrive
Enrolment invitations, reminders and certificate notifications are sent through Resend from noreply@professionalboundaries.co.nz, and our sending domain authenticates with SPF and DKIM.
If a teacher says their invitation has not arrived, check your email quarantine for that address first. Before enrolling a whole staff, it is worth adding the address to your safe senders list.
Browser and device requirements
- A current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari
- Works on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops
- JavaScript and cookies enabled
- Nothing to install, so no apps, plug-ins or administrator rights are needed on school devices
Bandwidth
The course is made up of written lessons, scenarios and short knowledge checks, with nothing to stream or download. Standard school broadband or a phone connection is enough, and no special provisioning is needed. There is no audio, so teachers can work through it in a busy staffroom.
Security notes for IT
Passwords must be at least 12 characters and are checked against known data breaches, and access rules are enforced in the database itself. Nothing is installed on school devices. Our providers and data handling are described in full on the Trust Centre.
